The African Painted Dog (or wolf) is a canine that hunts in cooperative packs and has a strong social demeanor.  The pack takes preferential care of their young and also elderly.

There are only perhaps 7000 remaining in total and have been listed as endangered.

These two pictured dogs look as if they are extending a playful gesture, however, it is not advisable to take them up on it.
